# Connect an Instagram account

> Add a public handle and confirm that Campground is watching the right account.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Home in your dashboard">
    Choose **Add account** from the account grid.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the public Instagram handle">
    Use the exact username or profile URL. Campground does not ask for your
    Instagram password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the profile card">
    Confirm the avatar, display name, follower count, and bio belong to the
    account you intended to add.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a plan or keep exploring">
    An account can stay connected without an active plan. Automatic delivery
    begins only after setup is ready and the plan is active.
  </Step>

  Private accounts and accounts whose public profile cannot be read may not be
  eligible for automatic post detection.
